1. Information We Collect
1.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and an encrypted password hash. If you sign up through a third-party authentication provider, we receive the name and email associated with that account.
1.2 Pipeline and Deal Data
When you use the Service, you submit deal information including account names, vendor names, product names, deal amounts, deal stages, expected close dates, contact roles, activity notes, and other pipeline data ("Deal Data"). This is the core data the Service analyzes to provide coaching and scoring.
1.3 Payment Information
Payment for paid subscriptions is processed securely by Stripe. SalesHedge does not receive, process, or store your credit card number, bank account information, or other payment instrument details. Stripe's privacy policy governs their handling of your payment data.
1.4 Usage Data
We automatically collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, analysis requests, timestamps, and session duration.
1.5 Device and Technical Information
We collect your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, and device type to ensure the Service functions properly and to support security measures.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To provide the SalesHedge Service, including AI-powered deal analysis, coaching recommendations, risk scoring, and pipeline prioritization
- To improve scoring algorithms, velocity baselines, and coaching accuracy using anonymized and aggregated data
- To send service-related communications such as account confirmations, security alerts, and feature updates
- To prevent fraud, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect the security of the Service
- To respond to support requests and provide customer service
We will not send you marketing emails unless you explicitly opt in to receive them.
3. AI Data Processing
3.1 How AI Analysis Works
When you request a deal analysis, your Deal Data for that specific deal is sent to the Anthropic Claude API for processing. The AI generates coaching recommendations, risk scores, and actionable insights based on your data and SalesHedge's proprietary scoring methodology.
3.2 Anthropic's Data Practices
Anthropic does not use data submitted through its API for model training purposes. API data is processed in accordance with Anthropic's data retention and privacy policies.
3.3 Data Transmission
All data transmitted to and from the Anthropic API is encrypted via HTTPS.
3.4 AI Output Storage
AI-generated insights, coaching recommendations, and risk scores are stored in SalesHedge's database and associated with your account for persistent access.
4. Data Sharing and Disclosure
4.1 We Do Not Sell Your Data
SalesHedge does not sell, rent, lease, or trade your personal data or Deal Data to any third party for any purpose.
4.2 Service Providers
We share data only with the following service providers, solely for the purpose of operating the Service:
- Anthropic — AI analysis processing (Deal Data sent per-analysis)
- Stripe — Payment processing (payment data only)
- Supabase — Database hosting and authentication
- Vercel — Application hosting
4.3 Legal Requirements
We may disclose your information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request, or if we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of SalesHedge, our users, or the public.
4.4 Business Transfers
In the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the acquiring entity. We will provide notice before your data is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encryption at rest and in transit (TLS/HTTPS), row-level security (RLS) policies ensuring users can only access their own data, secure authentication with encrypted password storage, and regular security reviews of our infrastructure. No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your data, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Data Retention
- Active accounts: Your data is retained for as long as your account is active
- Post-termination: Deal Data is retained for 90 days after account termination to allow for data export, then permanently deleted
- Anonymized data: Anonymized and aggregated data derived from your usage is retained indefinitely for the purpose of improving scoring algorithms and benchmarks
- Backups: Backup copies of your data may persist for up to 30 additional days following deletion
7. Enterprise Data Isolation
Enterprise customers benefit from tenant-isolated data environments. Row-level security policies ensure that each organization's data is accessible only to authorized members of that organization. Custom scoring configurations and sales process rules are stored per-organization in isolated namespaces and are never accessible to other customers.
8. Your Rights
You have the following rights regarding your data:
- Access — Request a copy of all personal data we hold about you
- Correction — Request that we update or correct inaccurate information
- Deletion — Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export — Download your Deal Data at any time through the Service or by request
- Restriction — Request that we limit our processing of your data in certain circumstances

9. Cookies and Tracking
- We use essential cookies for authentication and session management only
- We do not use third-party advertising cookies
- We do not engage in cross-site tracking
- If we introduce analytics cookies in the future, this policy will be updated and you will be notified
10. California Residents (CCPA)
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act:
- Right to know what personal information is collected, used, and disclosed
- Right to delete personal information we hold about you
- Right to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information)
- Right to non-discrimination for exercising your CCPA rights

11. European Economic Area and UK Residents (GDPR)
11.1 Legal Basis
We process your data on the following legal bases: performance of a contract (providing the Service you signed up for), legitimate interest (improving the Service and ensuring security), and consent (where applicable, such as optional marketing communications).
11.2 Data Controller
SalesHedge LLC, with principal place of business in Florida, United States, is the data controller for your personal data.
11.3 Your GDPR Rights
In addition to the rights described in Section 8, EEA and UK residents have the right to data portability, the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority in their country of residence.

12. International Data Transfers
SalesHedge is based in the United States. Your data is processed and stored on servers located in the United States. By using the Service, you consent to the transfer of your data to the United States. For EEA and UK users, we rely on Standard Contractual Clauses as the legal mechanism for data transfers. Contact jay@saleshedge.ai to request a copy of the applicable Standard Contractual Clauses.
13. Children's Privacy
The Service is designed for business professionals and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If we learn that we have collected data from a person under 18, we will delete it promptly.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to the address associated with your account at least 30 days before taking effect. The "Last updated" date at the top of this policy will be revised accordingly.
